Meet Ms. Mah
The Heart Behind Tender Care
Known as “Ms. Mah” by our little ones and families, Mahsan brings together a strong educational background, years of hands-on experience with children, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.
With a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Early Child Development, she understands that every child develops differently and deserves to be seen, understood, and supported as an individual.
After years of working with young children, Mahsan envisioned a different kind of childcare experience — one that combines the warmth and comfort of home with a thoughtfully designed environment dedicated entirely to children.
That vision became Escondido Tender Care.
She intentionally chose a smaller, more personal childcare setting where children can build strong and consistent relationships with their caregivers and receive more individualized attention. She believes that when children feel safe, comfortable, loved, and understood, they have the confidence to explore, learn, and grow.
For Mahsan, Tender Care is more than a daycare — it is a place where children can feel safe, loved, confident, and truly at home while they learn and grow.

Our Philosophy
How we see learning
At Escondido Tender Care, we believe there is no single approach that fits every child. Every child has a unique personality, different interests, and their own way and pace of learning.
Rather than following one specific educational philosophy, our approach is child-centered, play-based, and inspired by different early childhood practices. We observe each child closely, follow their interests and cues throughout the day, and use those observations to create meaningful learning experiences that naturally engage them.
We strongly believe that young children learn best through play. Whether they are exploring sensory materials, creating art, playing outdoors, building, pretending, experimenting, or interacting with their friends, there are opportunities for learning everywhere.
Our role as educators is not to make every child learn in the same way, but to understand how each child learns best and create an environment that encourages their curiosity, confidence, independence, creativity, and natural desire to discover.
At Tender Care, play is not separate from learning — play is how learning happens.
